Spiral pipe, also known as spiral steel pipe or spiral welded pipe, is a low-carbon structural steel or low-alloy structural steel strip according to a certain helix Angle (known as forming Angle) rolled into a billet, and then welded together to make the tube seam, it can be used to produce a larger diameter steel pipe with a narrow strip. Spiral pipe is mainly used for oil and natural gas transmission pipeline, whose specification is expressed by outer diameter wall thickness. Spiral pipe has single side welding and double side welding, welding pipe should ensure that the hydrostatic test, tensile strength of weld and cold bending performance meet the requirements.

The production process

1, the raw material is strip coil, wire, flux. Rigorous physical and chemical examination must be carried out before investment.

2, the end of the strip butt, using single wire or double wire submerged arc welding, after rolled steel pipe using automatic submerged arc welding repair welding.

3. Before forming, the strip is smoothed, trimmed and planed, and its surface is cleaned, transported and flanged.

7. Internal and external welding are performed by single or double wire submerged arc welding with American Lincoln welder, so as to obtain stable welding specifications.

8. All welded welds are inspected by online continuous ultrasonic automatic flaw tester, ensuring 100% non-destructive testing coverage of spiral welds. If there are defects, automatic alarm and spraying mark, production workers according to this at any time to adjust the process parameters, timely elimination of defects.

9, the use of air plasma cutting machine will be cut into a single steel tube.

10, cut into a single steel pipe, each batch of steel pipes to carry out a strict inspection system, check the mechanical properties of the welding seam, chemical composition, melting condition, surface quality of steel pipes and through non-destructive testing inspection, to ensure the qualified pipe production process, before the formal production.

11. Where there is continuous acoustic inspection mark on the welding seam, manual ultrasonic inspection and X-ray inspection shall be conducted. 12. The tube where the butt welding seam of strip steel and the t-joint intersecting the spiral welding seam are all inspected by X-ray television or film.

13. Each steel pipe is tested by hydrostatic test, and the pressure is radial sealed. The test pressure and time are strictly controlled by the microcomputer testing device of steel pipe water pressure. Automatic printing record of test parameters.
